Ensure no service interruption or further environmental damage
Make safe and contain.
Shut down plant and adopt necessary emergency procedure. Apply skills kit and booms as necessary. Escalate to management as required.
Continue to contain pollution. Arrange necessary remedial/rectification works and clean up where required.
To initially carry out works ‘in house’ where possible – contact specialist contractors (oil/fuel containment and clean up) as appropriate and notify appropriate governing bodies as required. Escalate as appropriate and evaluate as necessary.
Replace equipment as necessary.
Where remedial/rectification works are not possible, replace equipment or borrow from other sites as required/possible.
